The Bank Holiday on 30 August 2010  is fully booked

ENJOY A BOAT TRIP WITH A DIFFERENCE

Get away from it all and enjoy a sedate day sailing from Whitstable Harbour around the Thames Estuary on board the historic GRETA THAMES SAILING BARGE. All sailings are from the South Quay, Whitstable Harbour.

 Sailing on the day is at the discretion of the Skipper - Steve Norris. As we may need to cancel your trip due to unsuitable weather conditions, please add a mobile phone no. to your booking so we can contact you in this event.


Sailing depends on weather and wind conditions and is at the Skipper's discretion, therefore, some or even all of the boat trip may be under the power of a diesel engine.  

By booking early, we are usually able to accommodate your Preferred Sailing Date.  If you do not have a date in mind you can purchase a Gift Voucher which can be redeemed at a later date.

Spaces are very limited on all sailings as we only carry a maximum of 12 passengers on any sailing. On Thames Sailing Barge Match days this is restricted to 8 passengers. 

When you book online you will receive an email containing details of your booking request. We then confirm the booking by sending you a booking confirmation in the post which will list your actual Sailing Date and the time of departure.

 Is is important that you bring the booking confirmation with you on the day of sailing. Check in at least 30 minutes before sailing.

For last minute bookings Contact the Greta Skipper Steve Norris on 07711 657919 to check availability. Payment can then be made on the day of Sailing by cash or cheque with a Cheque Guarantee Card. Private Charters must be paid for in advance.

Should we need to cancel on or prior to your confirmed sailing date due to weather conditions or for any other reason, we will arrange another sailing date which is mutually agreeable. Please ensure that you include a mobile telephone number of one of the passengers that we can contact should we need to cancel on the day due to poor sailing conditions.

These trips can last up to 6 hours so bring food and cold drinks with you.
